CandleSchool — Privacy Policy

CandleSchool is an educational app for learning to read candlestick patterns. This Privacy Policy explains what data CandleSchool does and does not handle in version 1.0.

What we collect

In version 1.0, CandleSchool does not collect personal information from you. We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying details to use the app.

Data stored on your device

The following information is saved locally on your device only, using your device's standard app storage:

• Your learning progress (lessons completed, daily challenges done, study streak, XP)
• Your pattern practice history (which patterns you've drilled and how often you got them right)
• Your settings (sound on/off, haptics on/off, daily reminder preference and time)

This information never leaves your device in version 1.0. You can erase it at any time from Profile → Reset all progress. Uninstalling the app also removes this data.

Notifications

The optional “Chart of the Day” reminder is a local notification only. When you enable it, your device's operating system schedules the reminder on the device itself. CandleSchool does not register a push notification token, does not send notifications from a server, and does not collect any device identifier for notification purposes in version 1.0.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

CandleSchool 1.0 does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, crash-reporting services that transmit off-device, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or other third-party tracking. We do not sell, share, or rent any user data to third parties because we do not collect any user data to begin with.

Network usage

The app does not make network calls to a CandleSchool-operated server. The only outbound network activity in version 1.0 is the standard Expo over-the-air update channel used by the development framework to deliver app updates — this exchange does not include personal information.

Children

CandleSchool is rated 4+ and contains no content directed specifically at children. Because version 1.0 does not collect personal information from any user, it does not collect information from children either.

Changes to this policy

Future versions of CandleSchool may add optional features such as account sign-in, cloud sync, or in-app purchases. If any future version begins to collect personal data, process payments, or use third-party services that do, this Privacy Policy will be updated and a notice will be posted in the app before those features are enabled. The “Effective date” at the top of this document will reflect any update.
